The codes appear in more places there, such as billboards and shop windows. In many outdoor places they comfortably nestle alongside Facebook and twitter logos.
In the press they’re often accompanied by an explanation of how to get a QR scanner on your phone. Unexpectedly, they’re not overly pushy with them as a call to action.
